Hey there!

My name is Barbara Rodriguez, usually known as Babi. I'm a music producer and sound engineer from Caracas, Venezuela. Nowadays, I'm based in Miami, FL. where I studied audio technology at SAE Institute and later on, became head engineer of Wheuat Studio. I work with independent artists and record labels, mostly in the hip hop, trap, r&b and caribbean genres.

Besides producing and engineering artists, I also work with them on the business side of music. Things like copyright, royalties, work registration, release strategies and more, can be confusing and time consuming. Thus, I created a team over the years that get you through all of this so the artist can focus on being an artist.

The music industry can be cold and very competitive, it seems that there’s no space for new artists, but we want to show you there is a way to grow your music career and actually live from it.

BABI – founder, producer/engineer

 

I started playing piano way back in my hometown. There weren’t much opportunities over there but once I moved to Miami, US. I saw many ways to make it in the industry.

Selling beats was my first approach in the music business and later on, I graduated from SAE Institute in audio technology.

My love has always been r&b, once I learned its background I got into hip hop and its many forms, specially the lofi and jazzy vibes. My music have been featured on podcasts and many artists in the miami scene.

I decided to create BabiMusic to encourage independent artists all over the world.

GKA – Producer/Engineer

 

Carlos Eduardo, better know as GKA, coming from Caracas, Venezuela.

His passion for music started with the guitar, I remember him taking it everywhere lol. Back in Caracas he studied at Audioplace for Sound Engineering.

Nowadays, he mainly works at Chile with a wide background in the hip hop field. Being part of the Art Dealer Gallery, the center of hip hop in Santiago de Chile, he has specialized in rap instrumental, with his kicking boombap style.

SLASH – Producer/Songwriter

 

Also from Venezuela, Saul a.k.a Slash, he’s a music producer with the hardest sounds on trap and r&b.

He currently works in Venezuela, being a constant in the trap and reggaeton scene. With little to no resources, he’s thrive by the creation of new sounds, which is why his beats always sound so fresh and on point.

Once he started working with new artists, he got into songwriting as well, making singles for many reggaeton and hip hop artists in Venezuela and Chile.

JRiasko – Producer/Engineer

 

Josue or better yet, JRiasko, is a music producer and sound engineer with the experience you’re looking for, he goes from pop fusion to trap and house.

Let me tell you, he did a little booth with a bunch of wood and foam, set up his recording studio and started working. After that, it's been booming, working with major artists in the Venezuela music scene like Prieto, Diosa Canales and Gabriel Jeiff.

Nowadays, he's based in Colombia, where he got his own studio and get to work with artists all around the world.
